Can panic attacks be cured? That's a question that I used to ask all of the time.
According to the research I've done, the official answer appears to be that for people with panic disorder, panic attacks will come and go, waxing and waning over time.
People might have periods in their life where they have no panic attacks, and then later may have an unexpected panic attack.
In my own life I personally feel like I've been able to overcome panic attacks completely, and that they are nothing to fear... and it wouldn't matter to me if I would have a panic attack, now or at anytime in the future.
