Can Stress Cause Panic Attacks?
If someone asked me "Can stress cause panic attacks?", I'd have to tell them that I believed that it can.
In my own life I found that stress was a real contributing factor to my panic attacks.

Stress, especially in the form of putting too much pressure on myself eventually started to create a sense of anxiety. In time, and as I put more pressure on myself, that anxiety became a touch more acute, and then wham! a panic attack (over a deadline, or where a feeling of being overwhelmed started to take hold) would happen.
Here are a few ways that I found stress impacted my own panic attacks:
It created a sense of anxiety
I didn't get as good of a night's sleep as usual while experiencing stress
Stress created a strong emotional response in terms of 'feeling overwhelmed'. This feeling was characterized by the fear of not being able to complete a task in time, or a fear of having too much to do at once, etc.
I learned that if I could manage my own levels of stress, I'd be able to reduce its impact on my panic attacks.
I learned in time, that stress is a part of life, and specifically that it's one part of life that I could manage. I could certainly learn to manage things such as how much pressure I put upon myself.
Learning to cope with stress was a key component in overcoming my panic attacks.
