It was the Coffee!

by cfindlay
(canada)

Been drinking coffee since I was 12 years old. Went from 2 sugars and cream to no sugar and cream and more cups, over a 20 year span. When my heart was skipping beats a lot, testing and a food diary concluded that it could be the caffeine (what? my friend caffeine?). So I started decaf, had a migraine from the withdrawal on day 2, but then another previously unknown side effect occurred. My panic and anxiety attacks dropped by 80 percent! Yup, eight-zero-percent. Coffee had turned against me, causing adrenalin increases, that caused anxiety, which caused radioactive levels of adrenalin, which was so frightening, then I crashed physically but glad it was over. I will drink regular coffee once in a while, but cannot exceed 1.5 cups, or I'll be paying for it later, more so on an empty stomach. Had a level 6 out of 10 just yesterday, and that was from the iced coffee. So if you are drinking coffee, try giving it up, but be aware that headaches will occur during the withdrawal period of days 1 - 3.
