Getting a Good Night's Rest...

What are some tips for better sleep?

The following tips should be able to help you start getting the rest you need and deserve:

Discover a proven solution for overcoming panic attacks

  • Try to avoid things that are stimulating just before bedtime

  • Avoid napping during the day

  • Get a regular amount of exercise, and try to exercise prior to 6:00pm

  • Ensure that your room is as comfortable and as dark as possible

  • Try having a very light snack about an hour before bedtime

  • Avoid having alcohol within 2 hours of when you plan on going to sleep

  • Establish a routine. Wake up at the same time every day, and try to go to sleep at roughly the same time every night.

  • Reduce the amount of caffeine in your diet. Avoid drinking caffeinated beverages after 4:00pm

    Relaxation Techniques may also be helpful if practiced approximately an hour or so before bedtime. The key here is to be consistent in getting a good night's rest.

    If you can commit to getting an average of 8 hours of sleep per night, you should start to feel refreshed when you wake up in the morning.

    Just imagine having a great night's sleep each night, and then energy and excitement about your upcoming day when you wake up in the morning.
